HOW TO FILL OUT THE QUARTERLY PROGRESS AND ATTENDANCE REPORT

The first section provides instructions and a Grading Scale.  

K-6 grades are different from Grades 7-12.

You will use a drop down menu to pick a course grade.

Enter identifiers here.  Use the dropdown menu option for Grade Level, Year, and Quarter.

all fields are required!



This is to provide space for courses and electives for all grades K-12.

If you don't need that Subject, just enter none as in the example below.

GRADING

If you have any questions on grading see the Grading Scale at the top of the page.

Use the Dropdown Menu and click on a grade for that course. 



Grades 7-12:  Choose A+  to  F   

Grades K-6:   Choose E, S, NI, U 

SUBJECT OPTIONS

You may not need all subjects each year.  That's okay!


Core Subjects 
Math, Science, Language Arts/Literacy, History/Social Studies, and Foreign Language. 

Enter the Course Name for your Subject in the Field.



Electives 
Visual/Performing Arts, Life Skills, P.E., Health/Nutrition.

Enter the Course Name for your Elective in the Field.

Additional Electives (examples)
​Typing / Keyboarding Skills, Coding / Web Design / Robotics, Photoshop, Digital Design, Computer Graphics, Woodshop / Beginning Carpentry, Urban Gardening or 4-H / Farm and Agriculture Courses, Teen Health & Safety, or Mindfulness and Emotional Wellness

Grades K-6 combine P.E./Health and do not need a separate grade for Health/Nutrition. 

Enter the Course Name for your Additional Elective in the Field.



EXAMPLE OF ENTERING GRADE AND EVALUATION - GRADE 8 SCIENCE

Comments create a clear picture of student progress. 

In a few sentences, explain how and in what ways your student is improving.  


Examples:

Math:  Grade based on daily lesson and weekly test scores.  Student consistently scores in the 85-95% range.

Coding/Programming:   Grade based on daily work and project outcomes. Student completed course tutorials and created a video game.

Music/Dance/Gymnastics:  Grade based on attendance at lessons, daily practice, performance and recommendation from private instructor. Student gained confidence in performing at locally organized concerts for nursing homes and performed in a community concert this quarter.  She also enjoyed attending two concerts and a live stage production of The Little Prince. Student has mastered Suzuki Violin Book 3.

ADDING SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Feel free to add special achievements, awards, or community service.  

They can be added to your student's academic record or transcript.

ATTENDANCE SECTION

Attendance is based on the number of study days in your quarter.  

That number depends on how many study days are in each week and how many vacation

​days are in your schedule.

Absences are only included on the academic record when a student has not fulfilled

mandatory attendance for the year.
