NEED TO KNOW INFO

What type of classes can my student take?

Your student can sign up for classes numbered 1-199 (such as BIO 11 or CHEM 3, Computer Science CS 1 or Digital Media DM 1 etc.)

State law prohibits high school students from taking basic high school level courses such as Algebra 1 or pre-College level English 1 courses (i.e. any 200 numbered courses).

How many credits can my student take?

Students enrolling for more than 11 units may need to meet with a college counselor for approval.

Credits and GPA

Course grades are used for both high school and college GPA.  Ensure your student understands how this will affect future higher ed plans. College credits are doubled for high school.  (One semester college level course equals one full year high school credit.)

Who signs and submits the dual enrollment (aka concurrent enrollment form)?

Both student and parent must sign the form! The student submits the signed form to the college admissions office or online portal prior to the final registration date.
