Cynthia Simunovich is a wife, mother of six homeschooled children, grandma to a growing tribe, and Director of Branson Academy.
I received a B.A. in Theater Arts from UCSC and have over twenty years teaching experience in music and early education. With the fantastic support of family and friends, Branson Academy has grown from a handful of students to helping hundreds of families! It’s been an exciting journey!
I love helping parents discover how their children learn, find the resources they need, and encourage them in the amazing work of shaping and customizing a learning environment for their children.
Our family began homeschooling in the ’80’s as one of the early pioneer homeschooling families in California!
In 2004 we offered our PSP umbrella covering to other local homeschooling families and incorporated. Branson Academy Inc became a “family” business with a son designing our first website, daughters helping with filing and data entry, and hubby creating Excel spreadsheets! As our children began their own careers and households, I transitioned from homeschool mom to full time director of our PSP and now employ part-time office and data entry support.
Thousands of parents are re-discovering home education as a viable option for their family, and I am thrilled to continue providing outstanding administrative support, student records management, and coaching for today’s homeschool community!
Outside the day to day operations of our PSP you can find me plucking sun-gold tomatoes from the garden, hiking with hubby, catching up on the latest science and education research, and serving in our faith community.
